Comment: | The Blacks consider a number of syllable-initial nasal+stop and liquid+stop clusters to be unit phonemes. Voiced dental and retroflex stops seem to be limited to occurrence in these clusters. Schadeberg treats [6D] as an allophone of /dD/. |
