- 1995 M.A. degree in Phonetics, University of Cologne, Germany- M.A.Thesis: "Zur Beschreibung von Reduktionsprozessen in kontinuierlicher Sprache in einem gesturalen Modell" (on description of reduction processes in connected speech in a gestural model)
- From 1995 - 2003 working at the Institute of Phonetics and Speech Communication in Munich, Germany. Employed in Verbmobil and a DFG-project on "Compensatory Articulation and the nature of phonetic targets".
